– Good writers read a lot, and from many genres. Take some time to read.
– We recommend establishing a writing routine you can stick to.
– Write to write. Forget about everybody else. Just write. Get your thoughts down, you will edit later.
– Stop before your thoughts are completely down, that gives you a place to start the next time.
– Find a process and organization that works for you. Some write the ending first. Some have chapters planned, etc.
– Writing is personal, sharing your thoughts can be very emotional. Keep writing.
– Remember, you have a unique story to tell. Your story matters.
– Birthing a book is a long process, be patient with yourself. Writers edit a lot.
– Just do it, whether it’s in your journal, a letter to somebody, book review, a paragraph, a grocery list, just write

– Try reorganizing your writing space, making it attractive and functional.
– Take a relaxing break.
– Engage in a favorite physical activity.
– Take time for another creative pursuit.
